This banknote, with a face value of 10 bolivares, was issued by the Banco Central de Venezuela in 1995. It belongs to the T312 series. Its dimensions are 156 mm in length and 69 mm in width.
The front of the banknote features a dominant purple motif on a turquoise security background, all framed by an ornamental border. On the left, a portrait of Simón Bolívar, by an unknown author, is inserted into an oval medallion. On the right, another oval medallion contains a portrait of Antonio José de Sucre, Marshal of Ayacucho, created by Arturo Michelena in the 19th century. The face value "10" is indicated in each corner of the banknote, as well as in the center, in numerical form. The face value in words, "DIEZ BOLIVARES", appears below the numerical value. The payment clause "PAGADEROS AL PORTADOR EN LAS OFICINAS DEL BANCO" is also present. The name of the issuing institution, "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA", is inscribed at the top of the banknote.
The back of the banknote uses a purple color scheme with a border similar to that of the front. The central motif represents the Monument to Carabobo by Antonio Rodríguez del Villar, a historical site where Bolívar successfully led Venezuela's independence on June 24, 1821. The face value "10" is visible on the left, while the national coat of arms is positioned on the right. The value in letters "DIEZ" is repeated in each corner, and the full denomination "DIEZ BOLIVARES" is inscribed at the bottom. The name of the issuer, "BANCO CENTRAL DE VENEZUELA", also appears at the top of the back.
