Traces d'usure sur la pochette du coffret.
This numismatic set features all the euro coins of the Netherlands issued in 1999. It contains the eight common face values, ranging from 1 cent to the 2 euro coin.
The 1, 2 and 5 cent coins are struck in copper-plated steel. They feature a common design depicting a stylized portrait of Queen Beatrix, surrounded by the twelve stars of the European Union. The name of the country, "Nederland", is inscribed in an arc on the upper edge of the coin. The face value is indicated in numbers on the lower part.
The 10, 20 and 50 cent coins are made of "Nordic Gold" alloy. They feature the same portrait of Queen Beatrix as the smaller denominations. The arrangement of the elements (country name, European stars, face value) is also similar. The mint mark and the engraver's mark are present on these coins.
The 1 and 2 euro coins are bimetallic. The 1 euro coin is composed of a cupronickel center surrounded by a nickel brass ring. The 2 euro coin consists of a nickel brass center surrounded by a cupronickel ring. The design also represents Queen Beatrix, with a composition similar to the other values. The edge of the 2 euro coin is engraved with a specific inscription for the Netherlands.
All the coins are presented in an official case, specially designed for this series. The condition of the coins is "Brilliant Uncirculated" (BU), which means that they have not circulated and have a new and shiny appearance. This set is a testament to the introduction of the euro in the Netherlands and a collector's item for numismatists.
