Description

Remarks:

Issue de rouleaux, cette pièce peut présenter quelques traces liées au processus de fabrication industrielle.

This 2 euro coin is issued by the Principality of Monaco for the year 2026. It belongs to the series of circulation coins struck during the reign of Prince Albert II, sovereign of the Principality since 2005.

From a technical standpoint, the coin is made of bimetal, in accordance with the standards applicable to 2 euro coins in the eurozone. It has a diameter of 25.75 mm and a weight of 8.5 grams. The coin was struck at the M mint, identifiable by its mintmark present on the coin.

The total mintage of this issue is set at 1,350,000 pieces, making it a coin intended for ordinary monetary circulation within the Principality. Monaco, although not a member of the European Union, has a monetary agreement allowing it to issue euro coins bearing its effigy, within defined volumes.

This coin comes from rolls, the typical packaging for circulation coins. As such, it may show minor marks or traces resulting from the industrial manufacturing process and handling related to roll packaging. These superficial imperfections are inherent to this type of production and do not constitute a striking defect as such.

The national side, specific to Monaco, features the portrait of Prince Albert II, in keeping with the monarchical tradition of the Principality for its euro issues. The common side, identical to all 2 euro coins in the eurozone, features a map of Europe.
