Banknote Suriname 250 Gulden, Anton Dekom - Toucan - 1988

This banknote originates from Suriname and was issued in 1988. Its face value is 250 gulden. It measures 150 millimeters in length and 73 millimeters in width.

The front of the banknote is mainly blue-grey, printed on a multicoloured background. It features a portrait of Anton De Kom (Cornelis Gerhard Anton de Kom, 1888-1945) on the left side. On the right, there is a representation of the militia. A row of buildings is visible in the lower part. The inscriptions on this side include "CENTRALE BANK VAN SURINAME" and "TWEE HONDERD VIJFTIG GULDEN", as well as the date of issue, "9 JANUARI 1988". The name of the printer, "THOMAS DE LA RUE AND COMPANY LIMITED", is also mentioned.

The back of the banknote highlights a toucan bird on the left side. On the right, you can see a loudspeaker surrounded by people. The watermark of the banknote also depicts a toucan bird.
