The 200 Dominican pesos banknote issued in 2024, bearing the JQ series, commemorates the Mirabal sisters. This banknote is legal tender in the Dominican Republic.
On the front of the banknote, a red and black print highlights the portraits of Patria Mirabal, Minerva Mirabal, and María Teresa Mirabal, arranged from the center to the right. The name of the issuing institution, the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic, is printed at the top and center left, while the bank's coat of arms appears below. The face value, "Doscientos Pesos Dominicanos," is written out in full at the bottom center, and in numbers in the upper and lower right corners.
The banknote features a seven-digit black serial number, preceded by a two-letter prefix, printed vertically on the right edge. Two red signatures, accompanied by the titles of the signatories, are affixed to the bottom left. The year of issue, 2024, is indicated in the center of the banknote. You can also read the inscription: "Este billete tiene fuerza liberatoria para el pago de todas las obligaciones públicas o privadas".
The back of the banknote, also printed in red and black, depicts the monument dedicated to the Mirabal sisters. The name of the issuer is repeated at the top, while the face value in letters is written at the bottom center. The value in numbers is visible in the lower left and in both right corners.
The banknote measures 158 mm in length and 67 mm in width. The integrated watermark represents Juan Pablo Duarte y Díez, accompanied by an electrotype indicating the value of 100.
