Banknote République dominicaine 1000 Pesos Palais National - Alcazar - 2023 - UNC - Serial MQ

The 1000 Dominican pesos banknote issued in 2023 belongs to the MQ series. It is printed in dark red and black on a light red background with varied shades.

The obverse of the banknote features the coat of arms of the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic on the left, with a flower placed below. A thick security thread is positioned between the National Palace and the coat of arms. In the center-right, there is a representation of the National Palace of the Dominican Republic located in Santo Domingo. The logo of the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic and a small indication of the value of 1000 are printed next to it, with a color-changing ink located in the far right corner.

The inscriptions on the obverse include the name of the issuing institution, "Banco Central de la República Dominicana", followed by the legal statement indicating that the banknote has legal tender for the payment of all public or private obligations. It also includes the designation of the building represented, "PALACIO NACIONAL", as well as the face value "Mil Pesos Dominicanos".

The reverse of the banknote features the dark red and black print on a light red background with varied shades. The Fortress of Don Diego Colón is represented in the center.

The banknote incorporates a watermark representing the portrait of Juan Pablo Duarte, as well as the electrotype denomination 1000 on the right. Its dimensions are 158 × 67 mm.
