The 100 Dominican Peso banknote issued in 2024, series FT, highlights key historical figures of the Dominican Republic and iconic architectural elements.
On the front, there are portraits of Francisco del Rosario Sánchez, Juan Pablo Duarte, and Matías Ramón Mella, arranged on the right side of the banknote. These figures are essential in the history of the Dominican Republic. The name of the issuing institution, Banco Central de la República Dominicana, is inscribed at the top of the banknote. The face value, 100, is indicated in numbers in the upper right corner, oriented vertically, as well as in the lower right. The nominal value is also stipulated in letters under the portraits, specifying "Cien Pesos Dominicanos".
The back of the banknote features a representation of the Puerta del Conde, an important historical monument located in Santo Domingo. The name of the issuer, Banco Central de la República Dominicana, is at the top. The face value of 100 is repeated in numbers in the lower left, upper right, and lower right corners. The nominal value in letters, "Cien Pesos Dominicanos", is inscribed under the image of the Puerta del Conde.
The banknote incorporates a watermark representing Juan Pablo Duarte, accompanied by the value 100 in horizontal electrotype. This feature serves as a security measure to authenticate the banknote.
