Description
This banknote is a 5 dong denomination issued in 1947 by the Emission Institute of Vietnam. It is part of a series identified by the code "AG 064".
The front of the banknote features a portrait of Ho Chi Minh, a Vietnamese political figure and president of Vietnam. Above the portrait, the inscription "VIET-NAM DAN-CHU CONG-HOA" is printed. Below the portrait, you can read "GIAYNAM DONG" followed by the face value "5".
The back of the banknote features the face value "5" as well as the words "NAM DONG". There is also the inscription "KIEU THU II".
The dimensions of the banknote are 132 millimeters in length and 65 millimeters in width.
