The 10000 Vietnamese Dong banknote, issued in 2006, is made of polymer. It measures 132 mm long and 60 mm wide. The series to which it belongs is the WL series.
The obverse of the banknote features a portrait of Ho Chi Minh, an emblematic figure of Vietnam and a communist activist who held the position of President. The denomination "M??i nghìn ??ng" (Ten thousand dongs) is written in Vietnamese. There is also the mention "C?ng hòa xã h?i ch? ngh?a Vi?t Nam", which means "Socialist Republic of Vietnam". The writing used is Latin.
The reverse of the banknote illustrates the Bach Ho oil field, an important oil extraction area in Vietnam. The mention "Ngân hàng nhà n??c Vi?t Nam" (State Bank of Vietnam) is also shown, as well as the denomination "M??i nghìn ??ng". The writing is also in Latin.
The watermark of the banknote reveals a temple positioned on the left and a curved band on the right. This band incorporates the repetition of the inscription "10000 VND ?".
