Remarks:
This numismatic set includes the complete series of Vatican euro coins, issued in 2011. The series consists of eight different denominations, ranging from 1 cent to 2 euros. Each coin has specific characteristics in terms of dimensions, weight, and metal composition, in accordance with the European Union standards for euro coins.
The obverse of each coin features a common design for the series, representing the portrait of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI. The year "2011" is also visible on the obverse. The coins are struck with UNC (Uncirculated) quality, which means they have never been put into circulation and retain their original condition, without any signs of wear.
The reverse of the coins conforms to the standardized designs used by the countries of the Eurozone, displaying the nominal value of each coin as well as cartographic representations of Europe. The 1, 2, and 5 cent coins are made of copper-plated steel, displaying a reddish color. The 10, 20, and 50 cent coins are made of an alloy of copper, aluminum, nickel, and zinc, presenting a golden yellow color. The 1 and 2 euro coins are bimetallic, with a combination of copper-nickel and nickel-brass alloys.
The set is presented as a complete collection of Vatican euro coins for the year 2011, offering a representation of Vatican numismatics under the pontificate of Benedict XVI. The series therefore includes the following face values: 1 cent, 2 cents, 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents, 1 euro and 2 euros.
