 Slovakia's euro coins have been legal tender in the euro zone since 1 January 2009. They all have different designs with a common theme for each of the three types:
 - The 1, 2 and 5 cent coins feature Mount Kriván, the highest mountain in the country;
 - The 10, 20 and 50 cent coins feature Bratislava Castle;
 - The 1 and 2 euro coins feature the double cross on the three mountains, which remains Slovakia's national emblem.
