Bi-metallic (nickel silver centre - cupronickel ring) - 8 5 g - 25 75 mm in diameter - 2 20 mm thick.

The San Marino 2 euro 2024 coincard features the flag of the Republic, composed of two horizontal stripes, the upper one in white and the lower one in blue. In the centre is the official coat of arms, a shield surmounted by a closed crown, a symbol of sovereignty. The three towers are represented inside the shield, adorned with a laurel branch and an oak branch, with golden fruit and linked by a silver ribbon bearing the motto Libertas.

In 2017 San Marino changed all its national visuals on the euro coins it issues.  The €2 now depicts a detail from Urbinelli's painting of San Marino carrying the three Towers’ of the small republic. 

Edge: striated and inscribed with a 2 followed by a star, all repeated six times, alternating obverse and reverse.
