San Marino is dedicating a new series of silver ?10 coins to the military and police corps of the Republic of San Marino. The special feature of this series lies in the application of coloured details to enrich and embellish the soldiers' uniforms depicted on the reverse of the coin. 

The Guardia di Rocca, created on 26 May 1754 as a ?rescue brigade?, is distinguished today by the professional police corps of the uniformed core and the volunteer corps of the artillery company. The company's mission is to enforce the law, guard the borders, the public palace and institutional premises. It contributes to the prevention and suppression of crime, the protection of public order and safety, customs regulations, and monetary and financial legislation. It provides assistance in the event of disasters and accidents. The artillery company's volunteer corps is primarily responsible for the firing of cannon blanks and parade services on national holidays and during visits by foreign heads of state, in accordance with the old military protocols. 

The obverse features the coat of arms of the Republic of San Marino designed by Antonella Napolione, while the reverse depicts a Guardia di Rocca in full uniform, with green applied to his jacket and red on some of the feathers of his hat, collar, jacket cuffs and trousers. The piece is completed with the inscription ?GUARDIA DI ROCCA? at the top, the author's name ?A. NAPOLIONE? and the value of 10 EURO on the left, the letter R, identifying the Mint of Rome, the year of issue ?2024? on the right and the initials of Antonio Vecchio, who supervised the engraving, AV.INC. at the bottom.
