Description

This 2 euro commemorative coin was issued by San Marino in 2022 to mark the 200th anniversary of the death of Antonio Canova.

The coin is bimetallic, with a nickel brass center and a cupronickel ring. It weighs 8.5 grams and has a diameter of 25.75 millimeters, with a thickness of 2.20 millimeters. It is struck with Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality and is presented in its official blister.

The central theme of this coin is therefore the bicentenary of Antonio Canova's death. The edge is reeded and bears the inscription "2" followed by a star, repeated six times, alternating upright and inverted.

The mintage of this commemorative coin is limited to 55,000 copies.
