Superb one-euro circulation coin minted in Rome (mint mark R) in 2022 by the Republic of San Marino, one of the smallest sovereign states in the world, enclosed in central Italy and whose history dates back to the 4th century. This vintage has a mintage of 720,000 pieces.

The obverse features the majestic Cesta Tower ? one of the three iconic towers that crown Mount Titan and symbolize the sovereignty of San Marino ? with the inscription SAN MARINO 2022, the mint mark R (Rome), the initials of the engraver LDS (Luciana De Simoni) and the artist AL (Arno Ludwig). The outer ring features the twelve stars of the European flag. The reverse shows the map of the European continent on a dynamic background of stars, engraved by Luc Luycx for all countries in the euro area. The edge alternates smooth and reeded sections.
