The 2019 Netherlands BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) coin set brings together the complete Dutch euro coin series, comprising eight coins ranging from 1 cent to 2 euros. Struck by the Utrecht Mint, these coins display an exceptional state of preservation, characteristic of Brilliant Uncirculated quality strikes, guaranteeing uncirculated surfaces and perfectly preserved strike details.

The theme chosen for this annual set is cheese, an iconic product of Dutch gastronomic and cultural heritage. The Netherlands is indeed one of the world's largest producers and exporters of cheese, with internationally renowned varieties such as Gouda and Edam. This theme illustrates the centuries-old tradition of the cheese trade, which has profoundly shaped the country's economic and social history.

Each of the eight coins in this set features the common reverse designs of the euro series, in accordance with the standards defined by the European Union. On the obverse, the Dutch coins bear the official portrait of King Willem-Alexander, sovereign of the Netherlands since 2013. His effigy is accompanied by his name, the year of issue ? here 2019 ? and the name of the issuing country.

The Royal Dutch Mint, based in Utrecht, is the institution responsible for striking these coins. Founded during the Middle Ages, it is one of the oldest monetary institutions in Europe and enjoys an international reputation for the quality of its strikes and finishes.

This type of themed annual coin set is produced in limited quantities and is aimed primarily at collectors wishing to build a complete collection of Dutch euro series, year by year, in optimal condition.
