Coin Malta 2 Euros Commémo. BU (Coincard) MALTA 2021 - Heroes of the Pandemic (COVID) - RARE

This 2 euro commemorative coin, issued by Malta in 2021, pays tribute to the heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic. Struck in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality, it is presented in a coincard.

The coin is bimetallic, with a cupro-nickel center and a cupro-nickel ring. It weighs 8.5 grams and has a diameter of 25.75 millimeters, with a thickness of 2.20 millimeters. The mintage of this edition is limited to 60,000 copies.

The edge of the coin is reeded and inscribed. It features a succession of the number "2", alternately upright and inverted. These numbers are separated by two Maltese Crosses, all oriented in the same direction. This sequence is repeated six times around the edge of the coin.

This commemorative coin is issued only in BU quality in a coincard. It will not be available in UNC (uncirculated) or BE (Proof) versions. It represents a tribute to the people who helped society during the COVID-19 pandemic.
