The Italy Euro BU Set 2025 is a numismatic collection comprising the eight euro coins issued by Italy for the year 2025. Struck by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato (Rome), these coins feature a Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality, characterized by bright surfaces and sharp details.
This set contains the following face values: 1 cent, 2 cents, 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents, 1 euro and 2 euros. Each coin features a distinctive design representing an element of Italian artistic and cultural heritage. The 1 cent coin illustrates the Castel del Monte located in Andria, in the Puglia region. The 2 cent coin highlights the Mole Antonelliana in Turin. The Colosseum of Rome is depicted on the 5 cent coin. The 10 cent coin reproduces a portion of Sandro Botticelli's painting "The Birth of Venus". Umberto Boccioni's sculpture "Unique Forms of Continuity in Space" appears on the 20 cent coin. The equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius is visible on the 50 cent coin. The 1 euro coin features Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man. Finally, the 2 euro coin depicts a portrait of Dante Alighieri, after Raphael.
Each coin is made from specific materials: copper-plated steel for the 1, 2 and 5 cents, Nordic gold for the 10, 20 and 50 cents, and a bimetallic combination of cupro-nickel and brass for the 1 and 2 euro coins. The diameters vary depending on the face value, ranging from 16.25 mm for the 1 cent coin to 25.75 mm for the 2 euro coin. The respective weights also vary, ranging from 2.30 grams to 8.50 grams. The set is presented in an official illustrated box, showcasing the complete series. The mintage of this set is limited to 6,000 copies.
