     Theme: 100th Anniversary of the Italian Air Force

    Bi-metallic (maillechort center - cupronickel ring) - 8.5 g - 25.75 mm in diameter - 2.20 mm thick. 

    Ruthenium and gold application made by a private institute

    To mark the 100th anniversary of the Italian Air Force, the IPZS presents its first 2 euro commemorative coin of 2022. 

     The logo of the centenary of the Aeronautica Militare is represented. In the left field "R" identification mark of the Mint of Rome; above "RI" acronym of the Italian Republic; in the exergue in an arc the inscription "AERONAUTICA MILITARE"; on the right "VdS" initials of the author Valerio De Seta; in the lap the twelve stars of the European Union.

     Edge: reeded and inscribed with a 2 followed by a star, all repeated six times alternating obverse and reverse.
