 Wishing to thank the medical personnel who were on the front line during the COVID epidemic, Italy issues a commemorative coin dedicated to them.

 In the centre a man and a woman in medical garb with masks, a stethoscope and a medical file represent the doctors and nurses working on the front line in the fight against COVID-19.

 Above, the word "GRAZIE" followed on the right by a heart; on the left, a reproduction of the medical cross; in the centre, "RI", the acronym for the Italian Republic; on the right, "R", identifying the Mint of Rome; below, on the left, "CM", the initials of the designer Claudia Momoni; in the foreground, the year of issue of the coin, "2021"; and around it, the twelve stars of the European Union.

Edge lettering: striated and inscribed with a 2 followed by a star, all repeated six times, alternating right side and reverse.
