2 Euros Commemorative IRELAND 2016.

Theme: 100th Anniversary of the Proclamation of the Irish Republic (1916-2016).

Quality: UNC (uncirculated).
Circulation: 4,500,000 in UNC and 10,000 in BU.
Bi-metallic (nickel silver centre - cupronickel ring) - 85 g - 25 75 mm in diameter - 20 mm thick.

This is the first €2 Irish commemorative to be issued outside the common programme.

Depicting the Hibernia statue on top of the GPO where it witnessed the events of 1916. The coin displays the dates of the centenary and the name Hibernia.

Edge: striated and inscribed with a 2 followed by two stars, all repeated six times, alternating right side and reverse.
