Description

5 Ghanaian cedi banknote issued by the Bank of Ghana, measuring 141 × 68 mm. The front features the busts of the six great leaders of Ghanaian independence (Kwame Nkrumah, Ebenezer Ako-Adjei, Edward Akufo-Addo, Joseph Boakye Danquah, Emmanuel Obetsebi-Lamptey, William Ofori Atta) facing right, the Independence Arch in the center, the national coat of arms at the bottom, and a black star on the left. Inscriptions: BANK OF GHANA, GH¢5, FIVE CEDIS, FREEDOM AND JUSTICE. The back features the University of Ghana building in the center left, with the mentions BANK OF GHANA and GH¢5.
