The 200 Ghanaian cedi banknote, issued in 2022, is part of the AK series. This commemorative banknote honors six prominent figures in Ghana's history, whose busts are aligned on the right side of the obverse. These individuals include Kwame Nkrumah, Ebenezer Ako-Adjei, Edward Akufo-Addo, Joseph Boakye Danquah, Emmanuel Obetsebi-Lamptey, and William Ofori Atta.
On the obverse, the Independence Arch is also positioned in the center, a strong symbol of Ghanaian autonomy. The country's coat of arms is located in the lower center, while a star is visible on the left. The inscriptions "BANK OF GHANA" and the face value "GH¢200" are clearly displayed. The legal notice specifies that this banknote is issued under statutory authority and is legal tender for the payment of any sum. The national motto, "FREEDOM AND JUSTICE", is also inscribed.
The reverse of the banknote features Jubilee House, an important government building, located on the center left. The face value "TWO HUNDRED CEDIS" is repeated, accompanied by the name of the issuing bank, "BANK OF GHANA". The inscription "JUBILEE HOUSE" clearly identifies the building depicted. The face value "GH¢200" is also present on the reverse. The banknote is printed by De La Rue, a company specializing in the printing of banknotes and security documents.
