The front features the portraits of Charles de Gaules and Konrad Adenauer, accompanied by their signatures. As the design is shared by France and Germany, the inscription "Traité de l'Élysée 50 ans" is written in French and German. The reverse is that of the current ?2 coin common to all euro zone countries: the face value "2 euro" appears in front of the geographical map of Europe. "
