Snoopy is Charlie Brown's dog and the neighborhood favorite! Far from being an ordinary beagle, Snoopy loves reading and writing books. He is also a connoisseur of the arts. His overflowing imagination allows him to experience extraordinary adventures, all while staying in his garden near his doghouse. He sometimes sees himself as a World War I flying ace, as Joe Cool, the king of the campus, or as a world-famous author.
Snoopy does not speak, but he is gifted at expressing his emotions. His varied moods, reactions, and expressions are all reasons that make him a touching and so beloved character.

On the obverse of this colored coin, Snoopy is depicted in one of his iconic poses. The beagle displays a tender smile while holding a heart close to him. Behind him, we find iconic elements from the comic strip: Woodstock in a hot air balloon, Snoopy's doghouse, and his aviator cap resting in the grass. The reverse of this coin displays the face value surrounded by two branches, one oak and one laurel, which evoke the Euro symbol. The entire reverse motif is framed by "République Française" as well as an assembly of lines representing the Hexagon.
