A SERIES CELEBRATING THE UNION OF THE EXPERTISE OF TWO EMBLEMATIC HOUSES.
In 2023 the Monnaie de Paris and Pierre Hermé join forces to celebrate fine craftsmanship. This collection takes up the codes dear to Pierre Hermé where we find the shape of the macaroon sublimated by the fleur de sel, the emblematic ingredient used by the pastry chef, as well as graphic elements such as the petals and the initials of Pierre Hermé.
COINS IN THE SHAPE OF A MACAROON - AN UNPRECEDENTED TECHNICAL FEAT
Macaron-shaped coins have been developed to celebrate this collaboration. A technical feat, the shape and relief of these macaroons reflect the aesthetic codes of Pierre Hermé Paris, thanks to the detail of the engraving and the volume of the coin.
The €200 1 Oz BE gold coin has a 999% pure silver ganache.
These macaroon-shaped coins pay tribute to Pierre Hermé's most emblematic pastry thanks to the engraving and the volume. The RF for République Française appears on the face, echoing Pierre Hermé's signature. The House's emblematic petals also appear.
The reverse of the coin depicts the fleur de sel, an essential ingredient in the pastry chef's recipes, in the form of a crystallised atom, with a different Joaquin Jimenez, the face value and the year on the left. The number zero
The number zero on the face represents the Pierre Hermé petal.
