 On the obverse, a design corresponding to each region appears on a stylized background. Around the bottom of the coin is the name of each region. A graphic representation of the regional flag crowns the whole on the upper part of the coin. The common reverse reveals the face value of ?10 in the middle, surrounded by 2 branches, one of oak and the other of laurel, evoking the Euro symbol. The inscription "Liberté Egalité Fraternité" is placed around the edge of the coin and the entire motif is framed by an assembly of lines representing the hexagon.
