 Snoopy is Charlie Brown's dog and the neighborhood favorite! Far from being an ordinary beagle, Snoopy enjoys reading and writing books. He is also a fine connoisseur of the arts. His boundless imagination allows him to experience extraordinary adventures, while remaining in his garden near his doghouse. He sometimes sees himself as a World War I pilot, as Joe Cool, the king of the campus, or as a world-renowned author.
 Snoopy doesn't speak, but he is gifted at expressing his emotions. His moods, reactions, and varied expressions are all reasons why he is such a touching and beloved character. 

 On the obverse of this coin, we find the Peanuts gang celebrating their birthday. In the foreground, Snoopy embraces Woodstock. Both are wearing pointed hats on their heads. A gift wrapped in ribbon is placed in front of Snoopy. Behind, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Schroeder, Peppermint Patty, Sally, and Marcie display cheerful faces. Above their heads, we can read "Happy Birthday! Joyeux Anniversaire!". Shaped confetti surrounds the characters, showing that the atmosphere is festive. The reverse of this coin displays the face value surrounded by two branches, one of oak, the other of laurel, which evoke the Euro symbol. The entire reverse motif is framed by "République Française" as well as an assembly of lines representing the Hexagon.
