This 2 euro coin, struck in Proof quality. Weighing 8.5 grams and with a diameter of 25.75 millimeters, it is composed of two distinct metals. The center of the coin is made of cupronickel, while the outer ring is made of nickel-brass, giving it its bimetallic nature.

The national face of this coin features a stylized tree, representing life, growth, and continuity. This tree is framed by the French Republican motto: "LIBERTÉ ? ÉGALITÉ ? FRATERNITÉ".

The common face, for its part, features a map of Europe, accompanied by the face value of the coin, which is "2 EURO".

The edge of the coin is finely milled and bears the inscription "2 ? ?", repeated alternately.
