 Belgium commemorates the hundredth anniversary of the Belgo-Luxembourg Economic Union. This treaty of the Belgo-Luxembourg Economic Union (BLEU) was signed on 25 July 1921. The economic and monetary relations of the Kingdom of Belgium and Luxembourg developed within this framework. Between 1944 and 1999 (introduction of the euro) the Belgian franc and the Luxembourg franc had the same parity. Two versions are proposed: one in Flemish and the other in Walloon.
