This 2 euro commemorative coin, issued by Andorra in 2020, highlights the holding of the 17th Ibero-American Summit in the principality. It is struck in bimetallism, combining a nickel brass center and a cupronickel ring, giving it a weight of 8.5 grams and a diameter of 25.75 millimeters, with a thickness of 2.20 millimeters.
The central motif of the coin represents a stylized tree, whose branches are adorned with human silhouettes. These figures symbolize the meetings and exchanges that characterize the summit. A set of gears and cogs is also integrated into the design, evoking the coordination and economic and social development that are at the heart of discussions during these meetings. The official logo of the 17th Ibero-American Summit completes the composition.
The edge of the coin is reeded and bears the repeated inscription of the nominal value, "2", followed by two stars. This sequence is repeated six times, alternating the upright and inverted orientation.
The mintage of this commemorative coin is limited, with 70,000 copies struck in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality and 3,500 copies in Proof (BE) quality.
