The 1000 Yugoslav dinara banknote, issued in 1992, features a design specific to that period of Yugoslavia's monetary history. On the obverse of the banknote is a portrait of Nikola Tesla, a scientist and inventor of Serbian origin. The portrait is executed with a precision that allows the characteristic features of Tesla to be distinguished. The face value of 1000 dinara is indicated in numerals and letters in various areas of the banknote.
The coat of arms of Yugoslavia also appears on the obverse. These coat of arms are a symbol of the State and its identity at the time the banknote was issued. The colors and details of the coat of arms are carefully reproduced to ensure their recognition and authenticity. The name of the issuing bank, as well as other legal and regulatory inscriptions, are printed in legible characters.
The reverse of the banknote continues the theme of the obverse with complementary patterns and illustrations. There are potentially representations of inventions or scientific contributions associated with Nikola Tesla, or national symbols. The face value is repeated on the reverse to facilitate identification of the banknote. Security features, such as watermarks and micro-prints, are integrated into the design to prevent counterfeiting.
The colors used on the banknote are chosen for their aesthetics and functionality. They make it possible to distinguish the different denominations and make the banknote difficult to reproduce illegally. The quality of the paper and printing is an important factor for the durability and security of the banknote. The overall design reflects the cultural and historical aspects of Yugoslavia at that time.
