The 100 Dinara banknote issued in 1981 by the National Bank of Yugoslavia features a complex design and distinctive graphic elements. Its dimensions are 148 mm in length and 70 mm in width.
The front of the banknote is mainly red, printed on a multicolored background. The central element of this face is a representation of Augustin?i?'s equestrian statue "Peace," located in the United Nations garden in New York. This statue is placed on the left side of the banknote. The inscriptions on the front include the name of the issuing bank in several languages: in Serbian, NARODNA BANKA JUGOSLAVIJE in Croatian and Macedonian. The face value is also indicated in numerals and letters: 100 DINARJEV DINARA. It also mentions the Zavod za Izradu Nov?anica, Beograd, the institute responsible for manufacturing banknotes.
The back of the banknote uses the Cyrillic and Latin alphabets. The main inscription is "STO DINARJEV 100 STO DINARA". A line lists the various republics constituting Yugoslavia: . BOSNA I HERCEGOVINA . CRNA GORA . HRVATSKA . MAKEDONIJA . SLOVENIJA . SRBIJA ., surrounding the designation "SOCIALISTICNA FEDERATIVNA JUGOSLAVIJA". The face value "100" is repeated in several places. The names of the artists involved in the design of the banknote are also mentioned: M. PETROVIC FEC. (designer) and T. KRNJAJIC (engraver).
Miodrag Petrovi? is credited as the designer of the banknote, while Tanasije Krnjajic is identified as the engraver.
