Coin Pièce Canada 2 dollars Bi-metallic Charles III 2026 Ottawa

Issued in 2026 by the Royal Canadian Mint, this commemorative 2 Dollar coin celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion, founded in 1926.

For a century, the Legion has played a major role in commemorating veterans and in providing support to veterans, military personnel and their families.

The reverse features a symbolic composition dedicated to remembrance and the preservation of memory. The design combines several elements recalling the role of the Royal Canadian Legion and the importance of the duty of remembrance in Canada.

The motto "MEMORIAM EORUM RETINEBIMUS", which can be translated as "We Will Keep Their Memory", accompanies the composition and underlines the commemorative purpose of this issue.

The obverse features the effigy of King Charles III, along with the face value of 2 Dollars and the year 2026.

This version is the non-colourized variant, which retains the natural metallic appearance of the coin. A second colourized version is also issued in 2026.
