Coin Monaco

This commemorative numismatic set, issued by Monaco in 2020, presents itself as a set of euro coins, minted with a Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality. The set contains the eight current denominations, ranging from 1 cent to 2 euros, as well as a 2 euro commemorative coin dedicated to the United Nations (UN), issued in 2013. The set demonstrates the monetary system in force in Monaco and pays tribute to the country's commitment to international organizations.

The coins included in the set bear the specific designs of Monaco. The 1, 2 and 5 cent coins feature the coat of arms of Monaco, the heraldic symbol of the principality. The 10, 20 and 50 cent coins display the monogram of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, a distinctive mark of his sovereignty. Finally, the 1 and 2 euro coins highlight the effigy of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, representing the Monegasque head of state.

The Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality of the coins guarantees an optimal state of conservation. BU coins are struck with new tools, which gives them a superior shine and improved striking quality compared to current circulation coins. These coins have never been put into circulation, which preserves their original condition.
