 Grand Duke Henri's accession to the throne in October 2000 accompanied the turn of the millennium. On October 7 of that year, he succeeded Grand Duke Jean and was sworn in before the Chamber of Deputies. Representing the State, he is the symbol of the unity of the territory, of Luxembourg's national independence. Throughout his reign, Grand Duke Henri has always defended the values of tolerance, respect, dignity and solidarity. This commemorative ?2 coin pays tribute to the 25th anniversary of the reign of Grand Duke Henri. 

Edge: Reeded and inscribed with a 2 followed by two stars, all repeated six times, alternating upright and inverted.
