The coin features a portrait of the Greek mathematician Constantin Carathéodory and a mathematical formula. The issue design "KΩNΣTANTINOΣ KAPAθEOΔΩPH 1873 - 1950" runs from the bottom left edge of the image to the top right edge and the issuing state "ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ" can be seen at the bottom right of the image. Above can be seen the palmette of the Greek issuing institute and the vintage "2023" and, on Carathéodory's shoulder, the different "ΣTAM" of the coin's creator.

Edge: striated and insculpted we find the mention "ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ*" in Greek alphabet which means Hellenic Republic for Republic of Greece.
