The 50 Reichsmark banknote, issued in 1939, is part of the A.67 series and was produced during World War II for territories occupied by Germany. This banknote was issued by the Main Administration of the Reich Credit Bank.
The obverse of the banknote features a black print on a background with shades of brown and dark green. The main motif on the right is a representation of a woman wearing a scarf. The series and serial number are printed at the bottom center of the banknote. An embossed seal of the Main Administration of the Reich Credit Bank is also present.
The inscriptions on the obverse include the face value "Fünfzig Reichsmark" (Fifty Reichsmarks) and the statement "Ausgegeben auf Grund der Verordnung über Reichskreditkassen" (Issued on the basis of the ordinance on Reich credit banks). The name of the issuing institution, "Hauptverwaltung der Reichskreditkassen" (Main Administration of the Reich Credit Banks), is also printed.
The reverse of the banknote depicts Marienburg Castle. The banknote is printed on watermarked paper, which adds a security measure against counterfeiting. The dimensions of the banknote are 170 mm in length and 85 mm in width.
