Banknote Souvenir 0 Euro Ticket - New Marseille Velodrome Stadium 2016 - small numbering

Serial number below 100

This 0 Euro Souvenir 2021 banknote is dedicated to the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, the iconic stadium of the Phocaean city and the historic home ground of Olympique de Marseille.

The design highlights the spectacular architecture of the Nouveau Stade Vélodrome, recognisable by its vast undulating roof that wraps around the stands. In the background, the Marseille skyline is dominated by Notre-Dame de la Garde, another unmissable symbol of the city.

Inaugurated in 1937, the Stade Vélodrome has undergone several major transformations. Its extensive renovation, completed in 2014, gave it its distinctive roof and increased its capacity to more than 67,000 spectators, making it one of the largest sports venues in France.

This banknote belongs to the 0 Euro Souvenir collection. Intended for collectors, it carries a symbolic value of 0 euro and is not legal tender.

The offered example is of additional interest due to its very low serial number: UEHG000011, corresponding exactly to the banknote shown in the photograph. It is part of an issue announced at 10,000 copies.
