The Blue and Pink 50 Francs banknote, dated 02-02-1915, is a testament to French monetary history. This banknote, from Series S.6051, was issued by the Banque de France.
On the front, the banknote features a personification of Industry and Agriculture, each appearing in separate medallions positioned respectively on the right and left. Two cherubs adorn the upper part, printed in blue. A series of five pink medallions, representing Minerva and the personifications of the four seasons, is arranged in the center at the top of the banknote. The inscription "BANQUE de FRANCE" as well as the face value "CINQUANTE FRANCS" are also present. The names of the artists who contributed to the design of the banknote, "DANIEL DUPUIS et G. DUVAL, fec. JULES ROBERT SCULP.", are inscribed in Latin.
On the back, the banknote features a common personification of Industry and Agriculture, depicted holding hands. The inscription "CINQUANTE FRANCS" is repeated, accompanied by the words "INDUSTRIE" and "AGRICULTURE" separated by a vertical bar. As on the front, the names of the artists "DANIEL DUPUIS et G. DUVAL, fec. JULES ROBERT SCULP." are also mentioned.
The banknote was engraved by Charles-Jules Robert, and the drawings are the work of Jean-Baptiste-Daniel Dupuis and Georges Duval. The banknote measures 178 mm long and 123 mm wide.
