To mark the launch of its new collection on deep-sea animals, the Austrian Mint has produced a collector's album containing all the coins and a UV torch for discovering the amazing effects of the coins.

Each coin in the series is produced in an edition of 65,000. Each copper-nickel piece will weigh 16 grams and have a diameter of 34 millimetres.

This collection is a playful way of getting younger people interested in numismatics, with its varied visuals and constantly surprising technological developments. What's more, the fact that the duration of the programme and the number of coins planned have been revealed means that the series can be easily completed. Finally, it's worth acquiring the first coins to be released quickly, as they are often the most sought-after later on.
