This banknote, with a face value of 200 Dinars, was issued in Algeria in 1983.
The front of the note features the "Maqam Echahid" monument, a memorial dedicated to the Martyr, which stands on the heights of Algiers. Intricate decorative motifs, composed of arabesques and guilloches, adorn the monument and are deployed on a guilloché background.
On the back, a landscape of the city of Constantine is depicted, highlighting the university and the Sidi M'Cid bridge. An amphora, a symbol of ancient pottery, and an antique column are also included in the composition. Decorative motifs similar to those on the front, namely arabesques and guilloches, complete the aesthetic of the back.
The banknote's watermark represents Abdelkader ibn Muhieddine. The dimensions of the banknote are 165 mm in length and 79 mm in width.
