The 10 Dong banknote issued by South Vietnam in 1955, is part of the 04 series. It measures 139 mm in length and 87 mm in width.
The front of the banknote features a deep red print, complemented by a black serial number. The central iconography presents a fish, accompanied by a dragon positioned on the right and a watermark on the left. A signature is affixed to the center of the note. The aesthetic is enhanced by an ornamental guilloche pattern and rosettes indicating the denomination. The serial number is printed at the bottom of the note, divided into two parts, with the numerical part also repeated in the upper left corner.
On the back, the banknote sports a deep purple and red print. The visual composition features junks in the center, framed by dragons positioned on the right and left, with a watermark placed on the right. The ornamental guilloche pattern and denomination rosettes are also present on the back.
This 10 Dong banknote is a testament to the monetary history of South Vietnam, illustrating the motifs and symbols used at that time.
