The obverse of the note features a portrait of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of the Republic of Turkey. The inscriptions in the Latin alphabet include "TÜRK?YE CÜMHUR?YET MERKEZ BANKASI" (Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey), the face value "ELL? B?N" (Fifty Thousand) and "50000 TÜRK L?RASI" (50000 Turkish Lira). A legal notice states "14 OCAK 1970 TAR?H VE 1211 SAYILI KANUNA GÖRE ÇIKARILMI?TIR", specifying that the note was issued in accordance with Law No. 1211 of January 14, 1970.
The reverse of the note depicts the Parliament House in Ankara, which is now the Museum of the War of Independence and the Museum of the Republic. The inscriptions in the Latin alphabet again include "TÜRK?YE CÜMHUR?YET MERKEZ BANKASI" (Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey), as well as the face value repeated in the form "50000 ELL? B?N TÜRK L?RASI" (50000 Fifty Thousand Turkish Lira). The banknote weighs 1 gram.
