Description

This South Korean banknote was issued in 1952. It has a face value of 1000 won.

The banknote is part of the 20 series. The obverse of the banknote features a portrait of President Syngman Rhee. The name of the issuing country, "Korea", is inscribed at the top of the banknote. The face value, "1000", is visible in several places. Ornamental motifs complete the design.

The reverse of the banknote displays a representation of the Hwaseong Pavilion, a historical structure located in the Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon. The face value of the banknote is also present on the reverse. Decorative elements frame the scene.
