This set includes four Russian banknotes, each representing a distinct denomination: 5 rubles, 10 rubles, 50 rubles, and 100 rubles. All banknotes in this series were issued in 1997.
The 5-ruble banknote is smaller in size and predominantly green in color. Its illustrations feature monuments and symbols associated with the city of Novgorod. The front of the banknote depicts the Millennium of Russia monument against the backdrop of the Saint Sophia Cathedral in Novgorod. The back shows a view of the Novgorod Kremlin wall.
The 10-ruble banknote is primarily colored in dark green and reddish-brown. The designs printed on this banknote pay tribute to the city of Krasnoyarsk. The front features the communal bridge over the Yenisei River with a chapel in the background. The Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric dam is visible on the back.
The 50-ruble banknote is distinguished by its predominant blue color. It is adorned with representations of Saint Petersburg. The front shows an allegorical sculpture representing the Neva River, leaning against the Peter and Paul Fortress. The back illustrates the Stock Exchange, as well as the rostral column.
Finally, the 100-ruble banknote is characterized by its brown color. Its illustrations are dedicated to the city of Moscow. The front presents a view of the quadriga on the Bolshoi Theatre building. The back represents a panoramic view of the Moscow Kremlin.
