Elegant silver circulation coin minted in Saint Petersburg in 1912 during the reign of Nicholas II, just a few years before the fall of the Tsarist Empire and the 1917 Revolution. This EB issue, with a mintage of 7,085,008 pieces, is one of the most common of the late series ? and one of the last to testify to the monetary power of the Russian Empire before the chaos of the Great War.

The obverse bears the full imperial title: By the Grace of God, Nicholas II Emperor and Autocrat of all the Russias. The reverse features the heraldic double-headed eagle with spread wings, holding the orb and scepter, framed by the shields of the Empire's provinces, with the value 50 KOPEKS 1912. The edge bears the inscription Pure silver 2 zolotniki 10.5 doli with the initials EB ? Elikum Babayants, Saint Petersburg mint master.

Medal alignment. Demonetized at the fall of the Empire in 1917.

Grade: VF+ ? circulated coin, well-defined details, light uniform wear.
