The Monnaie de Paris struck this 10 euro silver coin in 2019 to commemorate the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, hosted in France. It belongs to the so-called "Pigeon Wing" series, a name referring to the particular striking technique that gives the coin its Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) finish.

The coin was struck at the Paris Mint, identified by the mintmark "A". It has a silver fineness of 900?, meaning 90% fine silver, with a total weight of 22.2 grams. Its diameter is 37 millimetres, giving it the impressive visual presence characteristic of commemorative coins of this format. The face value is 10 euros, legal tender in France.

The mintage is limited to 10,000 pieces, making it a relatively exclusive issue among the Monnaie de Paris productions. The Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality denotes a level of finish superior to the standard Proof, achieved through a specific striking process that enhances the relief and gives the coin's surface a particularly refined appearance.

This issue is part of the official numismatic productions accompanying the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, the international competition held in France from 7 June to 7 July 2019. The Monnaie de Paris, as the official issuing institution of French coins, produced several commemorative coins for this occasion, of which this silver version is one. The Parisian mint, one of the oldest and most prestigious in Europe, guarantees through its mintmark "A" the authenticity and striking quality of this issue.
