The Philippine 50 peso polymer banknote, measuring 160 × 66 mm, is predominantly red in color. The obverse features a Visayan leopard cat (Prionailurus bengalensis rabori), an endemic and endangered species of the Philippines, as well as a local flower, the Vidal's lanutan (Hibiscus campylosiphon), in the upper left corner. On the right are the coat of arms of the Republic and the seal of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Official inscriptions recall the face value « 50 / Limampung Piso » and the legal notice: « Ang salaping ito ay bayarin ng Bangko Sentral at pinananagutan ng Republika ng Pilipinas ».
The reverse illustrates a map of the Philippines on the left, a maliputo (Caranx ignobilis), an emblematic fish of Taal Lake, in the center, and the landscape of Taal Lake with its volcano on the right. The mentions « Taal Lake » and « Maliputo » accompany these representations, as well as the face value « 50 / Limampung Piso ».
Finally, the banknote incorporates a transparent security window featuring the coat of arms, the seal of the Central Bank, and a floral representation, enhancing its authenticity and resistance thanks to the use of polymer.
