This Philippine banknote, with a face value of one peso, was issued in 1949. It belongs to the 66 series and features an orange-colored design.
The obverse of the banknote features a portrait of Apolinario Mabini, facing right. This bust is positioned on the left side of the banknote's surface. To the right of the portrait is a blue seal. The Latin inscriptions include a statement of authority based on a law of the Philippine legislature approved by the President of the United States on June 13, 1922. It also states the face value, "ONE PESO", as well as a certification of deposit with the Treasury of the Philippines, payable to the bearer on demand in silver pesos or in legal tender of the United States of equivalent value. The mention "VICTORY SERIES NO. 66" is also included, identifying the series of issue of the banknote. Finally, the designation "TREASURY CERTIFICATE" indicates the nature of the banknote as a Treasury certificate.
The reverse of the banknote is characterized by an orange-colored design, enhanced with red and black overprints. The dimensions of the banknote are 161.9 millimeters in length and 67.4 millimeters in width.
